The first time I heard Venetian Snares (actually one man called Aaron Funk) was a song called ‘Epidermis’ that I heard late one night, driving home from a gig, listening to John Peel’s show about 4 years ago.
Already being a massive Aphex Twin fan ( and with it being in a similar vein ) – I immediately went out and purchased every album.
Just like Aphex Twin, his music is not for the faint hearted, but it is pure genius.

If you do not know about this band, then you should! They have ‘raised the bar’ with their amazing concept albums, virtuoso musicians and fused genres.

Jeff Buckley only recorded one studio album ‘Grace’ before he died in a tragic accident.
This album is truly beautiful with the title track standing out for me as my favourite – the vocals are just amazing in this song.
